My name is Enzo. I started fishing at 5 and fly fishing at 7 with my dad who is passionate. He has showed me the basics: preparation, education, improvement and pleasure. We live in Montréal but most of our fly fishing is done in the Adirondacks, NY and the Laurentians, QC. As I was getting older it quickly became a passion for me.

Since the beginning, I do catch and release which is intended as a technique of conservation. After capture, the fish is unhooked and returned quickly and carefully to the water to give someone else the chance to fish him again. I started to tie my own flies at 10.

Through fly fishing I had the opportunity to meet some exceptional anglers and mentors, and I could travel to some places that I would never visit otherwise. I enjoy sharing fishing information with my fellow anglers and learning from their experience.

I had my first bite for competition when my dad took me to watch the 2012 National Fly Fishing Championship in Mont-Trembant, QC. I signed up to my first competition two months later. I realized that competing with the champions will help me improve my techniques and abilities. Ultimately my goal is participate to the 2015 Youth World Fly fishing tournament.

In 2014, I had the honour to be selected to compete as a member of the Canadian Youth Team representing Québec at the America Cup. This competition took place in Vail, Colorado in September 2014. It’s a competition where teams from different countries come to compete. This was my first big competition. In 2015 I was selected to be part of the 2015 Canadian Youth National Fly Fishing Team, which represented Canada at the 2015 Youth World Fly Fishing Championships in Vail, Colorado and the 2015 North American Loch-Style Fly Fishing Championships. In 2017, the championship will be held in Slovenia. I'm ready! Team Canada is ready!!
